Ancient Greek Gold Stater was minted in Ephesos (Ionia) between 155 BC and 140 BC. A finely detailed portrayal of Artemis, the revered goddess of the hunt and wilderness.

The obverse side displays a draped bust of Artemis, facing right, adorned with a stephane (crown) and carrying a bow and quiver over her shoulder, symbolising her role as a huntress and protector.

On the reverse, the cult statue of Artemis of Ephesos is depicted in a frontal view. The statue is flanked by symbolic elements and intricate details, showcasing the goddess in her powerful stance, holding sacred objects.
