IZNIK CINTAMANI PALACE TILE, ISTANBUL (CONSTANTINOPLE), 17TH-18TH CENTURY
This square tile features a radiant design with wavy blue lines forming an X-shaped motif on an off-white background. Each quadrant is adorned with green cloud-bands above the distinctive Cintamani roundels in green, bole-red, and cobalt blue.

Previously sold at Sotheby’s on 20 May 2020, as part of lot 167 in a sale of Iznik tiles from the 16th and 17th centuries, under the “Home, Decorative & Fine Art” category.
