A QAJAR TINNED-COPPER BOWL BY GHULAM REZA, PERSIA, DATED AH 1224/ AD 1809-10
of deep rounded form with straight sides on a splayed foot, profusely engraved and inlaid with black composition with a band of cartouches containing hunting scenes and a figure being led on a camel, interspersed by cartouches filled with foliate interlace, above a band of inscription on a ground of floral interlace, other bands with floral and vegetal designs.

Inscriptions: the call to God to bless the Fourteen Innocents, followed by a curse to their enemies and the date ‘Written in 1224 (1809-10)’; signed ‘The work of Ghulam Reza’.
