This large Safavid Quran, dated ahead of AH 1119 / AD 1707. The illuminated Quran is beautifully adorned with intricate floral and geometric designs throughout its margins. The calligraphy is meticulously executed in fine naskh script, with verses separated by golden roundels. The leather binding, embellished with gilt floral motifs.
