Find the right department for your collection
Kew Auctions is a London auction house based in Richmond. Our departments bring together works from different periods, regions and materials, helping buyers explore the catalogue and sellers find a starting point for a valuation.
The Islamic & Indian Art department covers manuscripts, calligraphy, ceramics, metalwork, arms and armour, miniatures and works on paper. Middle Eastern Art includes historic objects and modern and contemporary painting from across the region.
Explore Asian Art for Chinese, Japanese, Southeast Asian and Himalayan ceramics and works of art, or Antiquities for objects from the ancient world. Our European Art, Rugs & Carpets and Fine & Decorative Art departments cover further collecting interests.
Buying through a department
Start with the upcoming auctions and read the description, estimate and terms for each lot. If you need further photographs or a condition report, contact us with the sale and lot number before bidding. Most viewings are by appointment; please arrange a visit in advance.
Selling an item or a collection
You do not need to identify a precise maker or period before contacting us. Send photographs, dimensions and any known ownership history through Sell With Us. For manuscripts, include the binding and any dated or signed pages; for ceramics, the base and any damage; for paintings, the front, back and labels. These details help us assess the next step.
Read our auction FAQs for registration, viewing and consignment information, or contact Kew Auctions to discuss an object.
